Changing one life at a time…

Marie’s mother died and her grandmother was left to care for her, but she really struggled to give this little girl what she needed at the baby’s young age. Imara Ministries, who has people who work out in various villages, saw Marie and realized that if she were to survive, intervention was necessary. That’s when they called Cradle of Love to see if we could help.

She was 14 months old and crawling, but not walking as malnutrition had weakened her muscles. Her grandmother could not afford to give her supplemental milk after her mother died, so her sparse hair was light orange from protein deficiency. After a few months of good nutrition, she was toddling all over the house and her hair was growing and back to a healthy black color!

When Marie was nearly three, with a strong and healthy body, her grandmother felt she could now manage the continued care. It is always thrilling to see families reunited.
