Cradle of Love Baby Home

Changing one life at a time…

Ground breaking for Cradle of Love Baby Home was April 15, 2004. It took 18 months to complete the building, as we only moved ahead as we had the finances. The walls are up!

The second phase of the main Home was to add an upper volunteer apartment. It consists of four bedrooms with a shared bathroom between two rooms. Kitchen and lounge area are in an open area, with a partial dividing wall.
The Third Phase was to building a separate building to house three things: clothes drying room, Pre-School Room and Nursery for babies 0-6 months. The building was financed by one family from the United States.
Our fourth construction project is currently underway. It is a house for the current and future director(s) of Cradle of Love. The reason we need this, is because the current director is the wife of the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA )director, which is also on this campus. They live together in ADRA housing, however, future directors will be totally unrelated to the work of ADRA, so Cradle needs housing for the administrators. This construction is up on a rise just beside the Baby Home.
We do not have a completion date as yet, because this will be built as we get in the money for this project. When finished it will be a wonderful “open” floor plan, with a loft.
The new Cradle of Love Directors home is still being constructed. All of the structural elements are completed and now only the interior finishing needs to be done.

Although we need to complete this house, we do not have extra funds to do so at this time. One day we hope to complete it so future managers can reside here and the volunteer apartment can once again be used for those wanting to come and help for 3-12 months.
